The youth ministry at the Manhattan Church of Christ exists to ignite fires for God in the hearts of MCOC youth and their friends, and to give them knowledge of Christ through love, teaching and service.
We accomplish our purpose in numerous ways. First we build community through activities and events that provide a fun and comfortable environment for churched or non-churched teens. Secondly we actively engage teens in discussions that lead them to a greater understanding of God and their faith through Sunday morning classes, and our monthly events.
On Sunday mornings we have an opportunity for teens to come and explore their faith. Begining at 9:45 am (and ending at 11:20 am) we have a Bible class that address the issues that are most revelent to teenagers. During this 'Youth Church' time we have looked at such topics as sex and dating, being a contagious Christian, ten aspects of being a Christian urban teen, and dealing with your family.
