About Us
D.J. Vila is a native of San Antonio, TX and a graduate of Abilene Christian University, where she earned a degree in Music Education. She moved to New York City in July of 1999 to teach music at Rice High School and to pursue a career in musical theatre. After two years of teaching, D.J. left teaching to pursue theatre full-time. Currently, her 'day job' is working as support staff for the Manhattan Church of Christ, where she regularly attends. She is very active in the music ministry and is a part of the Uptown Young Professionals Small Group.
D.J. was married in January of 2004 to Eric Vila, whom she met at church!
