AMY BOST HENEGAR | Minister to Children and Families
About Us
Amy Bost Henegar grew up in Los Angeles, California and loves
the beach. Her parents and three younger siblings are Dodger
fans—almost as devoted as is her husband, Matt. She
and Matt have been married since 1994 and spend their days
marveling at their two boys, Aidan and Owen.
Amy did her undergraduate work at Pepperdine University and continues to bleed orange and blue even though she lives 3,000 miles away. She has an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary and spent a year as a resident chaplain at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Before her kids were born she worked as a chaplain at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, California, and at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. While she finds chaplaincy to be deeply meaningful, for the moment she is enjoying focusing on an area of ministry that is a little less intense! Amy coordinates the Women in Ministry Network—a networking group for women who are ministers in Churches of Christ.
Amy is extremely grateful to God for the Manhattan Church of Christ and for the opportunity to be a minister within this grace-filled community of faith.
