About Us
Allison Isbell has been ministering to urban and at-risk youth since 1996, and has been working, specifically, with New York City teens since 1999 when she joined the ministry teams at Shiloh and the Manhattan Church of Christ.
Allison works as the Development Director for Shiloh, a not-for-profit Christian organization committed to equipping at-risk youth with tools to build hope by teaching, mentoring, and befriending them to promote their spiritual, mental, and emotional growth. Her responsibilities include working with the Executive Director on fundraising, developing and maintaining donor relationships, and managing all public relations efforts.
Allison received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Harding University in 1997, and has worked in many aspects of this field, including work in media relations and event planning at Fleischmann Hilliard, an international communications firm; and work as a Development Assistant at the Urban Alternative, a ministry of Dr. Tony Evans.
Allison volunteers as a mentor in the Shiloh Teen Mentoring Program and as the Aquatics Director during summer camp. She is recognized as a youth minister for the Manhattan Church of Christ, serving on a team with her husband, Jason, and other committed church members.
Presently, the combined ministries of Shiloh and Heir Force, the youth ministry program at MCOC, touch more than 200 youth in the New York City area. Allison, as well as many other volunteers, is committed to creating an environment where urban teens can know God and his relevance in their lives, and will come to desire a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
Allison is an avid runner and since completing a half marathon in October is looking to qualify for the NYC marathon. She loves reading, cooking, and shopping for great NYC bargains. She is thankful to spend every day working in ministry with her husband, and is so excited about being a mom to her son Levi, who was born on June 12, 2004.
